Jingle Bell Stocking Card

Hello!

Thank you for joining me! Last week my card was Halloween themed, this week Christmas! A beautiful Holiday Die with glitter and Rhinestones!

My Card started with the awesome A2 Frame dies. I first used the A2 Frames Rectangular Classic dies and then layered the A2 Frames Rectangular Scalloped die. On top of the Rectangular Scalloped, I layered the Alpine Flourish Doily, another A2 Frames Rectangular Classic die and centered the Pierced Stacker #4. I matted the Pierced Banner on top of the Horizon Fishtail Banner and center on my card.

To create the Jingle Bell Stocking, I applied Be Creative Tape (double sided tape with a backing) to one side of cardstock, placed the die cut face down on top and put thru my die cut machine. I then pulled off the backing, sprinkled glitter and burnished with my finger. I backed with two different pattern papers, added burgundy rhinestones and centered on my card.

Trick or Treat Card!

Trick or Treat!

For this weeks card I used embossing powders to give the die cuts dimension, depth, and texture.

I started with a card base in white cardstock and sprayed with blue and purple dye ink. I layered the Spider Web Mesh Border on top and spritzed with water. Then removed the Spider Web Mesh BorderThis technique lightens the area not covered by the border die cut, leaving a stencil/ghost like effect. I dried with a heat gun. See the wonderful look it created below. If you wanted a more intense look, just let the water sit longer before drying with a heat tool.

I cut the Deutschland Boutique Stacker A2 Frame die cut from black cardstock and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Then layered onto the card. I added a Spooky Tree which was covered in UTEE and while warm pressed a wood grain stamp into the UTEE to give texture.

My favorite part from this card, is the Trick or Treat sentiment. I cut it out twice. Once in white cardstock and sprayed with green dye ink. This is my base layer of the sentiment. The second was cut from black cardstock, I only applied embossing ink and black sparkle powder randomly to the top of the die cut. I then trimmed and adhered to the top of the green sentiment base.

Charming Card - Doily Challenge!

Hello, sorry I missed you on Friday!

For today's card post, I have joined the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge. This weeks card theme is Doilies. You have until next Saturday to link your card to the challenge and follow the basic rules that you can find on the Cheery Lynn Blog by following this link.

You have a chance to win a $20 shopping spree at the online Cheery Lynn Designs store.

Stacker Flowers have been on my wishlist for awhile. I finally ordered them and I was excited to create my Doily flowers!

I used the Stacker Flower 2 with the Felicity Tiny Doily and the Stacker Flower 6 with the Kissimmee Tiny Doily. I then added two layers of the medium rose with a rhinestone in the center. I tucked in four leaves from the Rose and Leaves set, a Flourish Leaf Strip and the dainty and cute Dandelions for my foliage.

The base was created by matting the pattern paper with blue cardstock and adding the Fiona’s Magic Mirror die cut in the matching blue cardstock. My sentiment was also cut from my pattern paper and stamped with brown ink.

Dies Used:

Land among the Stars Card!

Hello Crafty Friends!

Today, I wanted to share my card that I created with some products that I would normally use when I play in my Art Journal or when creating Mixed Media style artwork.

You probably have seen online or in Magazines that Mixed Media is very popular and 'IN' right now. I wanted to show you how I made my card using a few products and my trusty Cheery Lynn Dies to create a Mixed Media inspired design.

Above are the products that I started off with. The Pierced Stars comes in a set of 6, that have just been released last month.

I applied Gesso onto a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 white cardstock with a paint brush. I then randomly added Gelatos and blended with my finger.

With a few stencils and a baby wipe, I removed some colour. I also added a few stamps with Navy ink to my background.

I placed my Cheery Lynn Dies on top of my background and die cut using the Ebosser.

I cut my sentiment from White cardstock and a matte from Navy Cardstock using the using Pierced Stacker #2 die. I sewn the base and a little here and there with my sewing machine. I outlined and created faux stitches around a few of my Pierced Stars and Pierced Stacker #2  with my Black and White pens to draw focus.

I hope that today's post shows you another reason that Cheery Lynn's Dies are a versatile must have. With so many dies, the possibilities are endless!
