Happy Birthday Card

Hello & Welcome!

Thank you for joining me. I have created a Happy Birthday Card using pattern paper, paint, ink, Crazing, flowers and my favourite Chipboard products from Southern Ridge Trading Company!

I started my card off by cutting my paper to my desired sizes. I decided to create a card that would fit into a #10 envelope. I then layered pieces together, used a paper distressing tool to the edges and added stitching using my sewing machine. I took the two smallest pieces and gave them both torn edges.

I used a light Distress Paint dauber to add paint to both the Chipboard Film Strip Frame and the Birthday Greeting. Once dry, I added a layer of Crazing on top of both using a paint brush.

As you can see in the picture above & below: the coat of Paint, Crazing and brown ink rubbed into the ridges gives the Film Strip Frame and Greeting an Old & Vintage look.

I added flat back pearls and an assortment of flowers to my card front for a finishing touch!

You make my Heart Happy Card!

Hello Friends!

I am here with you today, to share my card and to wish you an early Valentines Day!

For my card, I have used a few chipboard pieces from last months New Releases and a lovely butterfly from a previous release.

I started with two watercolour panels. On one panel, I stamped a large script stamp with Versamark and embossed with White fine detail embossing powder. I then watercoloured both panels using a soft colour palette. As you can see in the picture, the white embossing works like a resist. I then adhered both panels to white cardstock and added stitching to the edges with my sewing machine.

I painted the Heart o Graph Drop with a white pearlescent paint and the Queen Anne's Drop in a pink. I cut the flourishes off the Butterfly Swirl Border and painted them with the white pearlescent paint and used them as accents in the floral arrangement. I painted the Butterfly blue and added a coat of Wink of Stella to the top.

I placed both Heart o Graph Drops to the top & bottom of the embossed watercolour panel and added some lace. Then adhered the panel to the large Watercolour panel using foam tape for dimension. I placed the pink Queen Anne's Drop to the right hand side of the card and added my floral arrangement on top. I tucked in the white flourishes.

To finish my card off, I added the Butterfly and the sentiment banner.
