Encouragement Card

Hello and Happy Friday to you!

I have created this weeks card to showcase the ease of layering with Cheery Lynn Dies. I have used the Pierced Stacker #3A2 Frames Rectangular ScallopedA2 Frames Rectangular Classic and Sentiment Frame #2

Simply cut and stack!

I tried to recreate the flowers from the pattern paper. For the large flower, I cut the Small Gardenia strip flower. I used three layers from the strip die. I inked one layer dark pink, one light pink, trimmed one and also inked lightly with the dark pink. The center of the large flower and yellow flower is from the Tiny Flower Kit.

The foliage for the large flower is cut and trimmed using the Build a Flower set. The small yellow flower center and foliage is hand cut. I added the Add a Flourish to top and bottom to draw your eye to the center.

Happily Ever After - Wedding Card

Hello!

So glad you could join me! With the lovely weather of Summer, Weddings season is upon us! I created this card using four dies, I wanted to use dies that I have not used for awhile!

As you can see above, the strip in the center is the Dove Border die, cut from black cardstock and backed with white cardstock. I trimmed the ends on both sides to make it smaller and fit on the panel. The border is cut from turquoise pattern paper using the Siena Double Edge Border die, then cut down the center. I used half on the top and half on the bottom of the Dove Border.
.

I also inserted the doves which I cut from white cardstock and used foam dots to raise them up to create layering and depth. Shimmer and rhinestones were also added for an elegant look.

Travel Card

Hello and thank you for joining me on this wonderful Friday!

As summer vacation is fast approaching, I decided to create a travel themed card. I used travel themed pattern paper along with Cheery Lynn Dies for a vintage look. Postcards, ticket stubs, maps and pictures, on a card base cut from the Coved Rectangle stacker die, tie this card altogether.

Above I used the Pierced Stacker #4 to cut the map and picture pattern paper. I used the largest Hello from the Hello (Set of 2) as my sentiment. I outlined the die cut with a black pen to give depth and used a glitter pen on the kraft cardstock for shimmer.

Below you will see an up close picture of one Ticket from the Pair of Tickets die set. I used the Old Parchment embossing plate to add texture to the ticket and the small post card behind. You can also see that I have incorporated two of the Curved Border dies along the left side.

Thank You Doily Card

Hello Crafty Friends!

I am back with you this week to share a Thank you card I have created using the Nautical Wheeler Doily as my inspiration. I wanted to create this card with a lot of depth and layers. I love how the colours worked together and how my flowers and Dandelions die mimics the background pattern paper.

I cut my base from dark gray cardstock, die cut the Horizon Square Boutique Stacker Frame from light gray cardstock and layered my pattern paper on top. I then heat embossed the Nautical Wheeler Doily with embossing powder. I used the doily as a guide to trim away the center piece from the pattern paper, so that I could stamp my sentiment on the cardstock layer underneath.

My flowers were cut from white cardstock, leaves from the Rose and Leaves die set in dark gray cardstock and the Add a Flourish from light gray. I added the Dandelions in a rich marigold colour for a touch of boldness and Rhinestones for shine!

Above you can see a close up of the center and stamped Thank You sentiment. This card could have easily been turned into a shaker card by just adding acetate to the sentiment opening and sequins!
