Happy Thoughts Card!

Hello....Happy thoughts coming your way....from me to you!

The vibrant floral pattern paper, sentiment word paper and white cardstock was the starting point. I die cut these papers with the French Flair Stacker die set.

I then added the Polynesian Sails Oval Doily on top of the French Flair Stacker. I stamped my sentiment on a white Coved Rectangle Stacker die cut and matted it on a Scalloped Coved Rectangle Stacker die cut. I then placed it in the center but slipped it under the left side of the Polynesian Sails Oval Doily.

I cut the Mega Fanciful Flourish from white cardstock and inked with Evergreen Bough Distress ink and sprayed with Goosebumps clear texture spray. I created two Chrysanthemum Strip flowers and used Spun Sugar Distress ink on one and worn lipstick ink on the other.

My new favourite "filler" flower is the dandelions die. I tuck a few here and there as a "Baby's Breath" style of flower.

I could not resist adding beading to the inner circle of the Polynesian Sails Oval Doily. I thing that this touch adds elegance to the card.

Dies used:

Dandelions (Set of 2) - B453

Friends Card

Hello!

Corina here, to host the blog today and to share my card.

This weeks card highlights the A2 Frames Rectangular Classic set and the Deutschland Boutique Stacker A2 Frames.

I used a medium grey cardstock to cut the Deutschland Boutique layers and black cardstock for the A2 Frames Rectangular Classic set.

The Exotic Butterfly Medium #3 is cut out of light cardstock and clear acetate. The butterfly is layered, first layer is acetate, the top layer is cardstock and glued only in the middle.

The floral arrangement was created using the Cherry Blossom, Ivy Corner, and Olive Branches. I used a glitter pen on the black cardstock and added clear rhinestones.

Dies Used:

Cherry Blossom - B129

A2 Frames Rectangular Classic (Set of 7) - CM5

Valentines Day Card

Happy Early Valentines!

Corina here with you today and I have a Valentines Card to share.

I created this card a little differently then I normally do. The majority of the time I create a card with a technique in mind, that I want to try and play with. For this card the Lattice Heart & Vines die cut was my starting point:

I then went into my container of previously cut die cuts and pulled out other Valentines themed items. I had a lot of small hearts from the negative (part that cuts out) of the Sophia's Heart Doily and also a portion of the Doily. Also a small and x-small Heart Chain Borders.

I chose a Love Stamp for my Sentiment and a 6 x 6 pattern paper pad.

Created the base using a medium grey cardstock. Matted with a light grey cardstock and then pattern paper next. I adhered my border with the Heart Chain border across it.

I cut a Coved Rectangle from pattern paper and the matching Scalloped Coved Rectangle from red cardstock. I stamped my Love Sentiment to the bottom portion and used pop dots to secure the matted Coved Rectangle.

I cut the Vines off the Lattice Heart and inked the heart red. I coloured the vines black and added Glossy Accents to them. I used the vines as my foliage under my Sweet William flower with a red enamel rose bead in the center.

Added the tiny heart border and the small hearts to the card and glossy accented each of them.

Laughter Card

Hello and Happy Friday!

For this weeks card, I wanted to create another background using Cheery Lynn Designs Embossing Plates and the technique that I shared in last weeks post.

I decided to use the Wood Grain Embossing plate and three Distress Inks: Gathered Twig, Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo. The difference in value and shades of brown, allows you to see all the amazing detail that this Embossing Plate has.

I cut out two of the Old Barn Board and glued them together. I stamped my sentiment with Versamark and used fine Black detail embossing powder. I trimmed two of the small hinges for brackets so I could hang my sign with twine.

For my Floral arrangement, I created two Daisy Flowers using the Daisy Strip. I decided to colour the flowers with alcohol markers for vibrancy and then added a little flocking to the inside of my flowers for pollen. I used an assortment of leaves and branches for my greenery in a few different green and tan shades.

Please take a look at my last weeks post regarding creating a Watercolour Embossed Background!
