Create Wooden Tag

Hello & Happy New Year!

I hope your New Year has started off well and that 2018 brings you happiness & creativity!

I have not had much time in my studio this past month, but I did manage to get some time today and create a tag. I had absolutely no plans except I wanted to use the Large Wood Tag!

I started by adding a light application of Gesso with a paint brush. I then selected Antique Linen, Broken China and Iced Spruce Distress Oxides. I used a blending foam tool to apply/blend the pigment ink and dried with a heat gun.

Stamped the entire Large Wood Tag lightly with a script stamp and grey archival ink. Added distress dot stamp randomly on top and heat set that layer.

I chose the inspiration word 'Createand heat embossed with a mix of Frantage embossing powders. I layered the word on top of a piece of iced spruce coloured cheese cloth to the right side of the Wood Tag.

To make the Demask Corners pop, I heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Using a glue gun, I added a variety of flowers from Southern Ridge and seam binding to the top.
